Definitely so. Long after all the technology gadgets have outlived their usefulness, it is the artists that remain.
The songwriters, the great singers, the dancers, the musicians, the authors -- it is they alone who preserve and protect the cultural memory of the people.
Someday our own government(s) will pay tribute to our artists - not waiting until they win Nobel Prizes , or after they are dead. We are fortunate to have a group of unforgetable songwriters such as Boo, Harpy, Seon -- writers most of us remember only around carnival. We can do better.
